Translated by F.I.C--According to a news report from Zhejiang Daily, a flu outbreak took place in an elementary school before the National Holiday (1st, Oct) located in Dantu district in Zhenjiang city, Jiangsu province (east China).
Over 100 students from 18 classes were involved. Seven out of twenty-seven specimens tested positive to influenza A virus infection in provincial CDC. The type of specimens and diagnostic method were not mentioned in the news report, neither the subtyping of the virus. Also, the report mentioned there were another flu outbreak in a town of Danyang City, involving over 100 students from 24 classes.
