Objective: To isolate influenza virus and identify them by molecular methods from flu-like patients in Nanjing area to provide data for the study of the genetic mutation of influenza virus in Nanjing. Methods: The specimens of nasal swabs from flu-like patients were inoculated on MDCK cells. The supernatants positive in hemagglutination assay were identified by RT-PCR.
