SHI Jian-zhong; TIAN Guo-bin; LI Yan-bin; CHEN Hua-lan. Generation and identification of a high-growth reassortant H5/PR8 influenza A virus. Chinese Journal of Preventive Veterinary Medicine
We generated a high-growth reassortant virus(H5/PR8) that contains the hemagglutinin(HA) and neuraminidase(NA) genes from the H5N2 avian influenza virus A/Turkey/England/N28/73(H5N2) and six internal genes from PR8,A/Puerto Rico/8/34(H1N1) by genetic reassortant, for evaluation as a potential vaccine candidate in poultry. The results of antigenic analysis showed that H5/PR8 reassortant was in the same antigenic group with H5N2.In addition,Pathogenicity studies showed that the H5/PR8 reassortant was not highly...
