KONG Dong-feng, etc.,al. Epidemiological characteristics and control measures of influenza A(H1N1) in Shenzhen City from 2009 to 2013. Occup and Health, Oct. 2015,Vol. 31, No.19
Abstract:[Objective]To analyze epidemiological characteristics of influenza A( H1N1) in Shenzhen City from 2009-2013, provide
scientific evidence for control and prevention of influenza pandemic in future. [Methods]The epidemic data of influenza A
( H1N1) cases from 2009-2013 were investigated by the epidemiological analysis, and the preventive and control strategy taken
in 2009 was analyzed retrospectively.[Results]The first imported case was reported in Shenzhen City on May 28, 2009. There
were 1 982 cases of influenza A ( H1N1) in 2009 with the incidence rate of 22.42/lakh, including 155 severe cases and 5 death
cases. The incidence rate, number of reported cases, severe cases and death cases in 2009 all ranked first place in these five
years. In Shenzhen City, the epidemic situation has been gone through the early stage of the imported epidemic period, spread of
epidemic period and the high incidence period since 2009, and it was the late stage during 2010-2013. The patients aged 5-19
years old accounted for the greatest proportion ( 63.41%) of the total cases, and 55.71% of cases were students. 291 outbreaks of
influenza A ( H1N1) were reported from 2009-2013, 92.78%( 270/291) occurred in schools and nurseries. There was a positive
correlation between time from outbreak onset to reporting and epidemic duration ( r=0.598, P<0.05) .[Conclusion]To establish
comprehensive monitoring system, take appropriate measures in the important place and population, and carry out the specific
measures according to different stages of the epidemic can effectively control the disease. Meanwhile, it is essential to gain
experience in dealing with influenza pandemic, and promote the development of disease prevention and control system.
