China: one suspected Human AIV death reported in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province

The Provincial health Department of Guangdong announced on 3rd, March, a suspected human AIV death reported in Guangzhou.
The paitent, surname Lao, is a 32-year-old unemployed Guangzhou citizen. He onset the fever and pneumonia on 22th, Feb and died at the noon of 2nd, Mar. Epidemical study showed he had been to the local poultry market several times and stayed in live poultry slaughter site for a long time. RT-PCR test for H5N1 was positive in his sample. The patient has been diagnosised as suspected human AIV case according the national standard.
The sample has been sent to National Level for final confirmation.
