On 7 October, 2026, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has confirmed the detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in WOAH poultry in Jackson(80 birds affected) county, Minnesota.
