USDA: Confirms Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5N1) in Dairy Herds in Idaho

On 11 May 2026, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has confirmed the detection of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 in twelve dairy herds in Idaho.
