UK: Bird flu (avian influenza): latest situation in England

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed by the Chief Veterinary Officer for Wales in a large commercial poultry flock near Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, Wales (AIV 2025/88). A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around the premises. All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.
Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 was confirmed in a small non-commercial poultry flock near Kirkham, Fylde, Lancashire (AIV 2025/89) on 6 November 2025. A 3km protection zone and 10km surveillance zone has been declared around the premises. All poultry on the premises will be humanely culled.
