China: A HPAIV(H5N6) outbreak in wild birds reported in Zhejiang Province

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs received a report from the China Center for Animal Disease Prevention and Control. After being confirmed by the National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory, a highly pathogenic H5 subtype avian influenza outbreak reported in Xiangshan County, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, with 43 wild birds dying from the outbreak. After the outbreak of the epidemic, the local authorities immediately carried out standardized disposal in accordance with relevant emergency plans, and carried out monitoring and investigation of surrounding poultry. No abnormal situation of poultry was found.
