China: A human case of avian influenza A(H5N1) reported in Jiangsu province

Week 6 of 2023, China reported a human case of avian influenza A(H5N1) in Jiangsu province.The 53-year-old woman developed symptoms on 31st Jan after exposure to poultry. Genetic sequencing showed the case was caused by clade 2.3.4.4b.
