Source of event or origin of infection: unknown or inconclusive
Epidemiological comments: immediate report outbreak in a wild bird:
Izumi-city 1: On [19 Nov 2021], a dead hooded crane (_Grus monacha_)
was collected and tested against avian influenza
virus. the Kagoshima university conducted Rt-PCR and
gene sequencing tests and confirmed that the subtype of the virus was
H5N8.
