Affected population: Within the framework of enhanced passive
surveillance one Herring gull (_Larus argentatus_) was tested positive
by RT-PCR for Avian Influenza and HPAI H5N1 has been confirmed.

Source of the outbreak(s) or origin of infection: unknown or
inconclusive

Epidemiological comments: Within the framework of enhanced passive
surveillance, one herring gull (_Larus argentatus_) was found dead and
sent for testing to the National Reference laboratory. Wild bird was
tested positive by RT-PCR for Avian Influenza and HPAI H5N1 has been
confirmed.

Wild control measures applied: official disposal of carcasses, by
products and waste; control of wildlife reservoirs.
