Affected population
This is a farm with turkeys for meat production, housing 3500 animals. The turkeys started showing clinical signs of increased mortality 13 February and were euthanized 15 February. A protection zone (3 km) and a surveillance zone (10 km) have been put in place around the infected farm and all other restrictions and necessary measures according to Directive 2005/94/EC are applied.
