As of the outbreak 1 (Isumi-City 2) in this report (Case 35): On 10th January 2021, local veterinary service in Chiba Pref. received notification from a layer farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 11th, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 13th, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 19th, stamping-out was completed. As of the outbreak 2 (Satsuma-Town 1) in this report (Case 36): On 12th January 2021, local veterinary service in Kagoshima Pref. received notification from a broiler farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 13th, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 14th, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 14th, stamping-out and other control measures (including disinfection) were completed. Movement and shipment restrictions have been imposed on these farms within a radius of 3 km and 3-10 km of the affected farm, respectively. Follow-up information as follows: As of the Case 1 (Mitoyo-City 1), the Case 3 (Mitoyo-City 2), the Case 4 (Mitoyo-City 3), the Case 5 (Mitoyo-City 4), the Case 6 (Mitoyo-City 5), the Case 7 (Mitoyo-City 10), the Case 8 (Mitoyo-City 11), the Case 13 (Mitoyo-City 12) and the Case 14 (Mitoyo-City 14); Shipment and movement restrictions were lifted on 11th Jan and 16th Jan, respectively. As of the Case 15 (Miyakonojo-City 1); Movement restrictions were lifted on 22nd Jan, respectively. As of the Case 17 (Mihara-City 1); Shipment and movement restrictions were lifted on 2nd Jan and 8th Jan, respectively. As of the Case 18 (Miyakonojo-City 2) and the Case 19 (Kobayashi-City 1); Movement restrictions were lifted on 22nd Jan, respectively. As of the Case 21 (Kinokawa-City 1); Shipment and movement restrictions were lifted on 29th December 2020 and 4th January 2021, respectively. As of the Case 22 (Mimasaka-City 1); Shipment and movement restrictions were lifted on 1st Jan and 8th Jan, respectively. As of the Case 23 (Higashioumi-City 1); Shipment and movement restrictions were lifted on 30th December 2020 and 5th January 2021, respectively. As of the Case 24 (Miyazaki-City 1); Shipment and movement restrictions were lifted on 1st Jan and 8th Jan, respectively. As of the Case 25 (Mtoyo-City 15); Shipment and movement restrictions were lifted on 11th Jan and 16th Jan, respectively.
