As of the outbreak 1 (Mitoyo-City 18) in this report (Case 31): On 22 December 2020, local veterinary service in Kagawa Pref. received notification from a broiler farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 23 December 2020, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 24 December, stamping-out was completed. On 25 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 25 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. As of the outbreak 2 (Isumi-City 1) in this report (Case 32): On 23 December 2020, local veterinary service in Chiba Pref. received notification from a layer farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 24 December, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 24 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 2 January 2021, stamping-out was completed. As of the outbreak 3 (Kobayashi-City 2) in this report (Case 33): On 29 December 2020, local veterinary service in Miyazaki Pref. received notification from a broiler farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 30 December, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 30 December, stamping-out was completed. On 31 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 31 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. As of the outbreak 4 (Minokamo-City 1) in this report (Case 34): On 1 January 2021, local veterinary service in Gifu Pref. received notification from a layer farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 2 January, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 3 January, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. Stamping out is being carried out. Movement and shipment restrictions have been imposed on these farms within a radius of 3 km and 3-10 km of the affected farm, respectively.
