As of the outbreak 1 (Hyuga-City 2) in this report (Case 26): On 14 December 2020, local veterinary service in Miyazaki Pref. received notification from a broiler farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 14 December 2020, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 15 December, stamping-out and other control measures (including disinfection) were completed. On 17 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. There is an epidemiologically related poultry slaughterhouse: the outbreak 2 (Hyuga-City 2) in this report. As of the outbreak 2 (Kawaminami-Town 1) (epidemiologically related poultry slaughterhouse to Case 26): Stamping-out and control measures (including disinfection) were completed on 15 December. As of the outbreak 3 (Sukumo-City 1) in this report (Case 27): On 15 December 2020, local veterinary service in Kochi Pref. received notification from a layer farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 16 December, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 17 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 17 December, stamping-out was completed. On 19 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. As of the outbreak 4 (Mitoyo-City 16) in this report (Case 28): On 15 December 2020, local veterinary service in Kagawa Pref. received notification from a broiler farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 16 December, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 17 December, stamping-out was completed. On 19 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. On 21 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. There is an epidemiologically related farm: the outbreak 5 (Mitoyo-City 17) in this report. As of the outbreak 5 (Mitoyo-City 17) (epidemiologically related farm to Case 28): Stamping-out and other control measures (including disinfection) were completed on 17 and 19 December, respectively. As of the outbreak 6 (Awa-City 1) in this report (Case 29): On 18 December 2020, local veterinary service in Tokushima Pref. received notification from a layer farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 14 December, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 19 December, stamping-out was completed. On 20 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 21 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. As of the outbreak 7 (Miyazaki-City 4) in this report(Case 30): On 18 December 2020, local veterinary service in Miyazaki Pref. received notification from a broiler parent farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 19 December, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 20 December, stamping-out and control measures (including disinfection) were completed. On 21 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. Movement and shipment restrictions have been imposed on these farms within a radius of 3 km and 3-10 km of the affected farm, respectively.
