On 10 December 2020, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 11 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 11 December, stamping-out was completed. On 13 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. As of the outbreak 2 (Mimasaka-City 1) in this report (Case 22): On 10 December 2020, local veterinary service in Okayama Pref. received notification from a chick farm and confirmed influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 11 December, LHSC confirmed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 12 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 14 December, stamping-out was completed. On 17 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. There is an epidemiologically related farm: the outbreak 3 (Mimasaka-City 2) in this report.
