Affected population
The backyard is located 100 metres from the first outbreak (IA-2020-0484). The animals showed no clinical signs, only one rooster was found dead. The infection was detected during surveillance of poultry in the protection zone. The animals were euthanised as soon as they were detected by the departmental laboratory and before official confirmation by the national reference laboratory.

Affected population
Fattened ducks, in preparation for force-feeding, showed clinical signs suggestive of avian plague. The departmental laboratory revealed contamination by an HPAI virus. The national reference laboratory confirmed infection with subtype H5N8, clade 2.3.4.4.b. The animals were immediately slaughtered.

A batch of fattened ducks in preparation for force-feeding showed clinical signs suggestive of avian plague. Only one batch from the farm showed symptoms. The national laboratory confirmed infection with HPAI virus H5N8 of clade 2.3.4.4.B. Birds from all batches were euthanised.
