As of the outbreak in Tsuno-Town 1 in this report (Case 12); On 1 December 2020, local veterinary service in Miyazaki Pref. received notification from a broiler farm and confirmed Influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 2 December, LHSC conformed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 2 December, stamping-out was completed. On 2 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. On 4 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. As of the outbreak in Mitoyo-City 12 in this report (Case 13); On 1 December 2020, local veterinary service in Miyazaki Pref. received notification from a laying hen farm and confirmed Influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 2 December, LHSC conformed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 4 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing and stamping-out was completed. On 12 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. There is an epidemiologically related farm; the outbreak in Mitoyo-City 2 in this report. As of the outbreak in Mitoyo-City 13 (epidemiologically related farms to Case 13) stamping-out and control measures (including disinfection) were completed on 2 and 12 December, respectively. As of the outbreak in Mitoyo-City 14 in this report(Case 14); On 1 December 2020, local veterinary service in Kagawa Pref. received notification from a laying hen farm and confirmed Influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 2 December, LHSC conformed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR. On 2 December, stamping-out was completed. On 4 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. On 7 December, control measures (including disinfection) were completed. As of the outbreak in Miyakonozyo-City 1 in this report (Case 15); On 2 December 2020, local veterinary service in Miyazaki Pref. received notification from a broiler farm and confirmed Influenza A virus by antigen-capture kits. On 3 December, LHSC conformed H5 by RT-PCR and RRT-PCR and stamping-out completed. On 3 December, Control measures (including disinfection) completed. On 4 December, NIAH confirmed H5N8 HPAI by RT-PCR and sequencing. Movement and shipment restrictions have been imposed on these farms within a radius of 3 km and 3-10 km of the affected farm, respectively.
