Affected population Future breeding Muscovy ducks (3,100 males and 600 females in two separate buildings) showed clinical signs on 10/12/2020 with increasing mortality. Analyses revealed an HPAI H5N8 virus, clade 2.3.4.4.b, confirmed by the national reference laboratory. The epidemiological investigation is currently under way.

Affected population Domestic poultry farm (various galliform species and fattened ducks) located in the protection zone of the outbreak IA-2020-0484. Scheduled surveillance in the restricted zone revealed an HPAI H5N8 virus of clade 2.3.4.4.b, confirmed by the reference laboratory. The town is located in a wetland area, considered to be at particular risk as regards wild fauna avian influenza.
