Affected population Samples were taken and positive tests for avian influenza virus (type A1 of subtype H5) were obtained in the framework of monitoring in the 3 km protection zone of the previous outbreak. There were no clinical signs of possible infection. All the birds were kept in the backyard. A 3 km protection zone and a 10 km surveillance zone have been established. There are no commercial establishments for keeping and slaughtering of poultry in the protection zone and surveillance zone around the outbreak. A stamping-out and disinfection are ongoing.
