Epidemiological comments Increased mortality was observed on the commercial fattening turkey farm in Delovi (municipality: Novigrad Podravski) in the county: Koprivnica- Kri?evci with approx. 70 000 animals, on November 17, 2020. Samples were taken and sent to Croatian Veterinary Institute- Poultry Centre in Zagreb. Avian influenza- subtype H5N8 was detected in the pooled samples. On November 21, 2020 HPAI subtype H5N8 is confirmed. Implementation of disease control measures according to the Directive 2005/94/EC as well as epidemiological investigation is still ongoing.
