Affected population On March 14th, 2018, a farm owner reported sick and dead poultry to the Provincial Animal Health and Production Office, requesting to collect samples for testing. On March 16th, laboratory results confirmed the presence of highly pathogenic avian influenza virus, serotype H5N1.
