Affected population Clinical suspicion in a breeding turkey farm composed of four pens. In one of these pens, excessive death rate (30 animals out of the 2860 within the pen) and egg drop led to suspicion. The reference national laboratory confirmed the presence of low pathogenic avian influenza H5N3 virus. All of the 9200 animals of the farm will be killed and destroyed on December 12th and 13th, 2017.
