China: Tibet reported two more human H7N9 AIV cases in Lhasa

During the medical monitoring of the close contacts and high risk exposure of the first H7N9 case, authority found two cases with fever. The patients, surname Liu and Ren, worked in the same market with the first H7N9 case as live poultry traders in Lhasa, had common exposure with the first H7N9 case. Both patients were admitted into the 3rd people´s hospital on 2nd and 3rd of April as H7N9 suspected cases for treatment and quarantining. Initial lab test results were negative against H7N9 on the days of their admission. On 8th and 9th April, LRT specimens were collected for both patients and the sputum specimen of both patients tested positive for H7N9. Considering the clinical symptoms,epidemological investigation and positive lab test results, both patients were confirmed to be human H7N9 AIV cases. Both patients were in stable condition and remained in hospital.
