On 25 January 2017 after having received a report from a poultry owner declaring that the poultry was sick and dead, National Animal Health and Production Research Institute (NAHPRI) and Provincial Veterinary teams go to the village to investigate and take samples. At the time, three local chicken samples were taken and sent to the NAHPRI for diagnosis. The sample test result confirmed positive for H5N1. |
