Epidemiological comments |
An intensive surveillance system is in place for avian influenza virus including screening at Mai Po Nature Reserve in Hong Kong. A faecal environmental sample was collected for the routine academic surveillance study by the University of Hong Kong on 30 November 2016 and subsequently tested positive for H5N6. The location was the same as the three H5N6 positive samples collected on 25 November 2016. |
