China: Foshan reported a human H7N9 case

On the afternoon of 8th, Jan. The authority announced a human H7N9 case confirmed in Foshan. The patient, surname Cui, female, 51-year-old, resident of Jiujiang county, Nanhai District of Foshan City(http://map.flu.og.cn). Onset of symptoms on the night of 31st, Dec 2013, admitted to the Foshan No.1 people’s hospital on the noon of 3rd, Jan 2014. The patient was treated with Tamiflu and now in critical condition. On afternoon of 31st, Dec 2013, the patient went to market to purchase a live chicken, and killed the chicken at home by herself. Observation on 21 close contacts by local health department shows no sign of related symptoms.
F.I.C like to remind readers, though a live poultry contact was detected, the limit time between contact and onset of symptoms might need more consideration on many ways.
