Activity CDC Bloginar on Pregnancy and the Flu
Description The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) invite you to attend "Protect Yourself, Protect Your Baby: A Bloginar about Pregnancy and Flu." The webinar for bloggers will be held January 13, 2010, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm EST, and is intended for bloggers interested in knowing more about topics related to pregnancy and flu. Featured speakers include Dr. Sonja Rasmussen, a board-certified pediatrician and senior scientist in the CDC Division of Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (DBDDD) and Dr. Betsy Mitchell, a health communication specialist in DBDDD. A social media specialist will also be on-hand to talk about new flu-related social media tools from CDC that bloggers may want to use. The presentations will be followed by a question–and–answer period. We encourage live–tweeting of the event and ask Twitter users to use the hashtag #Preg&Flu.

H1N1 Immunizations are available during regular clinic hours at the Howard County Health Department on an on-going basis, however two (2) special clinics are planned during National Influenza Vaccination Week and one the week following. The two special H1N1 clinics planned for NIVW are on Tues. Jan. 12 & Thursday Jan. 14 and will be held at the HCHD 120 E. Mulberry Street from 8:30 – 4:00. Please call the Howard County Health Department for an appointment. Also, on Sunday Jan. 24 a "walk–in" Mass Immunization Clinic at Indiana University Kokomo campus will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. All clinics are for the general public from 6 months and older.
