Free A/H1N1 flu vaccinations offered to pregnant women in Shanghai

At present, all qualified pregnant women are entitled to receive free A/H1N1 flu vaccinations in obstetric service institutes designated to the communities in which they live, announced the Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau January 6.
Pregnant women should reside in Shanghai, have been incorporated into the city"e;s pregnant women health management system, in good shape, and meet requirements for taking the A/H1N1 flu vaccination.
For qualified pregnant women, the well-informed, volunteer and cost-free vaccination principle must be strictly followed.
Pregnant women should bring with them the Shanghai municipal health handbook for pregnant women, ID cards, and signed information consent forms to vaccination institutes designated to the communities in which they live.
The municipal health bureau also suggests that pregnant women suffering from pregnancy complications and recurring miscarriages should not take vaccinations.
