Costa Rica confirms 25 new cases of A/H1N1 flu

Costa Rica´s health ministry on Friday reported 25 confirmed cases of A/H1N1 flu and four new suspected cases.

Daniel Salas, an official from the ministry, said that among all confirmed cases only a 34-year-old pregnant woman is hospitalized.

Salas said the health authorities have registered 1,120 suspected cases, out of which 980 were discarded and 109 are being analyzed by a disease control lab.

Salas said there was no need to modify the current preventive measures, urging Costa Ricans to take more sanitary measures.

Salas warned people be cautious as there is a risk of the virus to mutate.
