WHO: Avian influenza-situation in Indonesia-update 26

The Ministry of Health of Indonesia has announced a new case of human infection of H5N1 avian influenza. A 47-year-old male from Tangerang City, Banten Province developed symptoms on 2 December and was hospitalized on 9 December. The source of his exposure is currently under investigation.
Of the 115 cases confirmed to date in Indonesia, 92 have been fatal.
